So. You’ve registered for your first tri. Excited? Fired up?
Terrified? Like every other first-timer, you’re probably feeling a
little bit of all three, but that’s normal!

Welcome to the hardest sport you’ll ever love. Tri NE is here to
demystify triathlon, prepare you for your race, and most importantly,
welcome you to the community of athletes that make our sport great.

Our interactive clinic will give you the tools to physically train,
mentally prepare and get you running into the water at the gun.
USAT-certified coaches will offer tips on all three disciplines,
highlight some keys to a smooth transition and most importantly, show
you how to have fun out there. You can do this. We can help.

TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE
(1) Triathlon 101: The course, the rules, the etiquette;
(2) Goal setting; Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Positively.
(3) Essential Gear : Does this unitard make me look fast?
(4) What am I doing here?: What to expect in the swim, on the bike,
and on the run;
(5) I can do this!…Right?: How to prepare for your first race;
(6) Fuel Up: What to eat and drink on race day;

A HALF IM IS A WHOLE LOT OF FUN: TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST 70.3
Tri NE First Timers Half IM clinic is intended to help those veteran
triathletes (or initiate the brave newbies) step up to the 70.3
distance. We’ll help you build on your training and develop
strategies for enduring the rigors of a longer race. Tri NE coaches
will offer lectures on hydration, fuelling and equipment designed to
help you endure the distance, enjoy the challenge and finish strong.

She has been swimming for 40 years, has held a masters world record for freestyle in every age group, and has coached all levels and ages of swimmers. She knows how to get results!
